Grounding Cords — a psychic cleanser

What is it that grounds us?

We all have something.

The Ground of Being. God. The unmovable Earth. Mother nature’s cradle. Good, ‘ol fashioned gravity.

When life gets hectic; or rather, when life life’s, what is your anchor?

I’ve recently been experimenting with a psychic tool, called a Grounding Cord.

You create it in your mind — a long cord, burrowed through the bulk of the Earth, anchored to its center.

The cord is created with the imagination, and can be made of any material. Being an enthusiasitc reader, I made my Grounding Cord of books.

Books, twisted and gnarled into a cord that has a center where energy and other matter can run. The Cord runs from your Root Chakra.

Through the Cord you can expel negative energies, heavy thoughts, dark musings; the junk that no longer serves you. It exits from your body, through the Cord, to the middle of the Earth.

Likewise, the Cord allows you to intake from the Earth. Accept the gifts of renewal and energy.

Oftentimes, when dealing with anger, I tend to let the anger sit in me. I grasp it, let it marinate inside me, rather than letting it go. It’s a sort of internal tantrum. I’m pissed and I’m going to hold on to this anger. I’m going to let other know how much I am suffering! That’ll show everyone!

Unsurprisingly, this only extends my own suffering. As I’ve experimented with my Grounding Cord, I imagine the anger flow out, away, and beneath.

Sure, I could exercise or binge eat or rant to the nearest human to try and expel the anger or other less than lovely emotion.

I’m a tinkerer. A spiritual tinkerer. I’m fascinated by what works.

Give It A Try

Create a Grounding Cord for yourself:

  1. Sit still, close your eyes, then imagine a cord running from your Root Chakra (aka bum).

  2. Choose what it’ll be made of — Any material will do, but make sure it forms a tube.

  3. Imagine the cord running under you, into the Earth, through the mantle, through liquid hot magma, to the very center of our planet.

  4. Hook the cord there. Feel the stability.

  5. Imagine expelling anything that no longer serves you; out and down.
